In exercise of powers Conferred by sub-section (2) of section 4 and sub section (4) of Section 72 of the Jharkhand Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Jharkhand Act No 05, 2006) read with Rule 42 of the Jharkhand value added tax Rules, 2006 ,the Governor of Jharkhand, after being satisfied that it is necessary to curb tax evasion under the Act, is pleased to authorise/empower all the officers posted in circles and Bureau of Investigation as specified in column -3 of S.O 207 Dated 31.03.2006 within the area mentioned in corresponding entry in the column-4 of the said notification to exercise the powers and duties conferred upon such officers by Section 72 of this Act .

This Notification shall be deemed to be effective from 01.04.2006
