In exercise of the powers conferred by the third proviso to sub-section (3) of Section 29 of the Goa Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Goa Act 9 of 2005) (hereinafter referred to as the "said Act"), I, Shri Hemant Kumar, IAS, Commissioner of State Tax, Government of Goa, hereby extend the period for completion of assessment for the financial year 2016-17 by two months with effect from 1st July, 2020. All assessments for the year 2016-17 shall accordingly be completed on or before 31st August, 2020.
