WHEREAS the State Government is of the opinion that due to extraordinary cicumstances prevalent in assessment year 2019-20 in the state it will be difficult to complete assessment or re-assessment in respect of cases of the assessment year 2016-17 within the time limit provided therefore under the Uttar Pradesh value added tax act, 2008 (U.P. Act no. 5 of 2008).

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers sub-section (11) of section 29 of the aforesaid Act, the Governor is pleased to extend the time limit upto 30th June, 2020 for completing assessment or re-assessment in respect of cases of the assessment year 2016-17 for which limitation for passing assessment or reassessment order expires on 31sl March, 2020.
