WHEREAS the Governor is satisfied that it is necessary so to do in public interest;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (l) of section 5 of the West Bengal Sales Tax (Settlement of Dispute) Act, 1999 (West Ben. Act IV of 1999) as subsequently amended, (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Governor is pleased hereby to specify the 31st day of March, 2017 as the date by which an application for the purpose of section 4 and section 4A of the said Act may be made to the designated authority under the said Act.

2. This notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
