In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 17A of the Odisha Value Added Tax Act, 2004 (Odisha Act 4 of 2005), the State Government having been satisfied that it is necessary so to do in the public interest, do hereby exempt sale or purchase of goods in course of execution of works contract for construction of 300 (three hundred) houses for the beneficiaries in the flood affected districts of Kendrapara, Jajpur and Keonjhar by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust or by its executing agency during the period from the 1st January,2013 to 31st August,2013, from payment of tax payable under the provisions of said Act , subject to condition that the Collector of the concerned districts shall certify in the pro forma annexed herewith as Annexure that the said houses have been constructed for beneficiaries of flood affected areas.
