In exercise of the powers under sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2008 [U.P.Act no. 5 of 2008], the Governor is pleased to make with effect from July 09, 2013 the following amendments in Schedule I and Schedule II to the said Act:-

AMENDMENT

(a) In the said Schedule-I,-

(i) in the entry at serial number 36 for the words and semi colon ";Besan excluding Besan made of pea;" the words and semi colon "Besan including besan made of pea;" shall be substituted.

(ii) in the entry at serial number 22 for the words "Indigenous handmade musical instruments" the words , "Indigenous handmade musical instruments and Indigenous musical instruments as Dholak, Tabla, Naal, Mridang, Bachkana, Kango, Dhol, Damru and Tuntuna" shall be substituted.

(b) In the said Schedule-II, in Part-A, in the entry at serial number 52 the semi colon and words ";Besan made of pea" shall be omitted.
