In exercise of the powers under sub-section(4) of section 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2008 (U.P. Act no. 5 of 2008), the Governor is pleased to make with effect from May 19, 2012 the following amendment in Schedule-I and Schedule-II to the said Act:-

AMENDMENT

(a) In Schedule-I, for entries at serial number 41, the following entries shall, columnwise be substituted, namely:-

	Name and description of goods

41	Incense sticks commonly known as agarbatti, dhupkathi or dhupbatti; hawan samgri including dhup agarbatti. sambrani or lohbana; rudraksh, rudraksh mala, tulsi kanthi mala; gulab jal and kewrajal.

(b) In Schedule-II, in part-C, for entries at serial number 225, the following entries shall, columnwise be substituted, namely:-

	Name and description of goods

225	Natural or synthetic flavouring essences, Natural or synthetic essential oil including mixtures thereof, sandal oil and attar.
