THE MADHYA PRADESH VAT AMENDMENT (VALIDATION) ACT , 2011

[Received the assent of the Governor on 22nd December, 2011; assent first published in the "Madhya Pradesh Gazette (Extra-ordinay)" dated 24th December, 2011]

An Act to validate the amendment of certain goods contained in Schedule I to the Madhya Pradesh Vat Act, 2002 with retrospective effect.

Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the Sixty-second year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1- Short title. This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Vat Amendment (Validation) Act, 2011.

2. Validation of amendment of Schedule I with retrospective effect and actions taken and things done thereunder.

(1) The notification No. F-A-3-46-2011-l-V(72), dated 27th September, 2011 of the Commercial Taxes Department Government of Madhya Pradesh, which was published in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette (Extra-ordinary) on the same date (hereinafter referred to as the notification), amending the description of goods contained in serial numbers 48 and 49 that is Fabrics and Sugar respectively, in Schedule I to the Madhya Pradesh Vat Act, 2002 (No. 20 of 2002) shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 8th April, 2011.

(2) Anything done or any action taken in pursuance of the amendments contained in the notification shall be and shall always be deemed to have been validly done or taken with effect from 8th April, 2011.
