In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 16 of the Tripura Value Added Tax Act, 2004 { Tripura Act No. 1 of 2005 ), it is hereby notified for general information of all concerned that the State Government hereby exclude the following items from the Schedule-III w.e.f 1st April, 2007.

Tobacco as referred to in the first schedule lo the Central Excise and Salt Act, 1944 including Cigarette, Cigar, Cherrot, smoking mixture for pipe and Cigarette, Chewing tobacco and snuff" when such items are manufactured or made in India.
