Whereas the draft amendment in Part-II of Schedule-A appended to the Himachal Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act No. 12 of 2005) was published in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh (Extra-ordinary) dated 16-05-09 vide this Department notification No. EXN-F(10)-1/2006-I, dated 14th May 2009 in pursuance of the provisions of section 10 of the aforesaid Act for inviting bjections and suggestions from the person(s) likely to be affected thereby; And whereas 34 objections/suggestions from soap merchants have been received ithin the stipulated period which have been duly considered by the Department.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Himachal radesh Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act No. 12 of 2005), the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to make the following amendment in Part-II of Schedule-A appended to the aforesaid Act (hereinafter called the "said Schedule " namely:-

In PART-II of the " Schedule ''A " appended to the Himachal Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act No. 12 of 2005), after existing item No. 106 the following item 106-A shall be inserted namely:-

" 106-A Washing Soaps excluding detergents in all forms"
