In exercise to the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 8 of the Rajasthan Value Added Tax Act,2003 (Act No. 4 of 2003), the State Government being of the opinion that it is expedient in public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule I appended to the Act, namely: -

AMENDMENTS

In Schedule I appended to the said Act, -

(i) in column number 2 against serial number 58, for the existing expression "price less than Rs.200/=", the expression "price less than Rs.300/=", shall be substituted w.e.f. 28.07.2009

(ii) the existing serial number 100 and entries thereto shall be substituted, with effect from April 1, 2006 namely:

"100

All kinds of sarees including sares made of silk fabrics and fabrics imported from outside India with or without kinds of ornamental work.

(iii) after serial number 101 and entries thereto, the following new serial number and entries thereto shall be added, with effect from 28.07.2009, namely:

"102	Gur, Jaggery and edible variety of rub gur.
103	All kinds of Towels having maximum retail price upto Rs.200/- per towel.
104	Rice Bran.
105	Unfried Potato chips.	"
