In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the Puducherry Value Added Tax Ordinance. 2007 (No.1 of 2007), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry being satisfied that it is necessary so to do in the public interest, is pleased to reduce and fix the rate of tax payable in respect of: --

(a) Petrol and Diesel from 20% to 12.5%;

(b) All kinds of Industrial inputs and packing materials sold to industries from 4% to 1%;

(c ) All kinds of machineries sold to industries at 1%;

(d) All kinds of two wheeler from 12.5% to 4%;

(e) Tyres and tubes, from 12.5% to 8%;

(f) AI! kinds of yarn, from 4% to 1%;

(g) Medical equipments, devices and implants from 4% to 2%;

(h) All kinds of building materials, from 12.5% to 8%;

(i) Agricultural requisites including chemical fertilisers, pesticides and PVC pipes, from 4% to 1% and motor starters, wires and cables for agriculture, from 12.5% to 4%:

2. This notification shall come into force on and with effect from 1^st July, 2007
