MADHYA PRADESH VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2002 - NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 70-A of the Madhya Pradesh Vat Act, 2002 (No 20 of 2002 ) the State Government hereby, makes the following amendments in Schedule I and Schedule II of the said Act, namely:-

AMENDMENTS

1. In Schedule I of the said Act,

(i) for serial No. 12 and entries relating thereto the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be substituted

"12. Earthenware including clay lamps made by Kumhars (potters) and earthen roffing tiles

(ii) after serial number 19 the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be inserted namely:

19A Singhada

(iii) in column (2) against serial numner 22, for the words "hand made paper and hand made dant manjan" the words "hand made paper and hand made dant manjan and hand made utensils" shall be substituted.

(iv) after serial number 25 the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be inserted namely:

"25A Niwars";

(v) in column(2) against serial number 48, for the words"chadar", the words Chadar, quilt cover, bed cover, handkerchief and unbranded pillow covers" shall be substituted

2. In Schedule II of the said Act, in Part II,-

(i) for serial number 4 and entries relating thereto the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be substituted

"4 All kinds of bricks including brickbats, jhama, fly ash bricks, refractory bricks, asphaltic roofing and earthen tiles, but excluding earthen roofing tiles 4"

(ii) in column (2) against serial number 6, for the words "but excluding utensils made of precious metals", the words "but excluding utensils made of precious precious metals and handmade utensils" shall be substituted

(iii) after serial number 30 the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be inserted namely:

"30A Dry fruits including kharak (chhuhara) 4"

(iv) serial number 60 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted

(v) after serial number 65 the following serial number and entries relating thereto shall be inserted namely:

"65A Water storage tank made of plastic 4"

(vi) in column(2) against serial number 71, for the words "Pillow covers, rajai cover, blanket, socks, handkerchief, ties," the words "blanket, socks, ties, branded pillow covers" shall be substituted

(vii) in column (2) against serial number 110 the entry number (26) shall be omitted
