In exercise of the power conferred by section 104 of the West Bengal Sales Tax Act, 1994 (West Ben.Act XLIX of 1994), the Governor is pleased hereby to make with immediate effect, the following amendment in the West Bengal Sales Tax Rules, 1995, as subsequently amended (hereinafter referred to as the said rules):-

Amendment

In the said rules, in CHAPTER XVII, in PART-V, in rule 266A.-

(1) for sub-rule (2), substitute the following sub-rule:-

"(2) The State Government may appoint one of the members as the Chairman of the Settlememt Commission";

(2) for sub-rule (3), substitute the following sub-rule:-

"(3) The Settlement Commission shall have its office at 14, Beliaghata Road, Kolkata-700 015".
