In exercise of the powers delegated to him under sub-section (1) of section 12 of the Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975 (XVI of 1975) (hereinafter referred to as the "said Act"), the Commissioner of Profession Tax, Maharashtra State, Mumbai, hereby specifies the entire area comprised within the State of Maharashtra or, as the case may be, the local areas, specified under Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), to be the areas over which the different authorities, holding for the time being the respective posts, against the said areas, shall have jurisdiction for the purpose of entry 13 of the Schedule-I appended to the said Act.
