Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004 Notifications

NOTIFICATION No.F.3(77)/Fin.(T&E)/2005-06/1454-1463 Kha Dated: 14th March, 2006

WHEREAS the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion that it is expedient in the interest of general public so to do.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 103 of the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004 (Delhi Act 3 of 2005), the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, hereby makes the following amendments in the Sixth Schedule appended to the said Act, namely:-

AMENDMENTS

In the Sixth Schedule appended to the said Act,-

(a) In the entry at serial No.1, in part-A, -

(i) after sub-entry at serial No. (12), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"(12A) BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA"

(ii) after sub-entry at serial No. (15), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"(15A) BURKINA FASO"

(iii) after sub-entry at serial No. (26), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"(26A) DJIBOUTI - REPUBLIC OF"

(iv) after sub-entry at serial No. (74), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"(74A) PARAGUAY"

(v) after sub-entry at serial No. (100), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"(100A) TURKMENISTAN"

(b) after the entry at serial No. 2, the following entries shall be inserted, namely:-

"3. Indian Red Cross Society, Delhi for purchases other than those for personal use of officers/officials.

4. St. John Ambulance Association (India), Delhi for purchases other than those for personal use of officers/officials.

5. Confederation of Indian Industry, Delhi in respect of purchases of (i) tents, (ii) blankets, (iii) bandages and plaster, (iv) cotton, (v) antiseptics, (vi) medicines and (vii) non-perishable food items for free distribution to the earthquake victims of Kashmir for a period up to 31st March, 2006 and further subject to furnishing of a certificate in the following format:-

    CERTIFICATE

Certified that the goods covered by invoice(s)/bill(s)/cash memo(s) mentioned below which were purchased by the Confederation of Indian Industry, Delhi, during the quarter ended on ___________, have been distributed to the earthquake victims of Kashmir free of cost.

6. Vivekananda Kendra, Delhi Branch in respect of payments made, for its construction project at Chanakya Puri, New Delhi, to M/s. V. K. Constructions, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi for their construction contracts including fire fighting, plumbing, sanitation and to M/s Goel & Associates, Chattarpur, New Delhi for their contracts regarding electrical works during the period 01.04.2005 to 31.12.2006."

Except for the entries inserted at serial Nos. 3, 4 and 6 which shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 1st day of April 2005 and the entry inserted at serial No.5 which shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 10th day of October, 2005, the remaining provisions of this notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
