In this Act unless the context otherwise requires:

(lxiii) "Works contract" means a contract for carrying out any work and includes any contract or agreement for carrying out for cash or deferred payment or other valuable consideration for assembling, construction, building, altering, manufacturing, processing, fabrication, erection, installation, modification, fitting out, improvement, repair or commissioning of any building, road , bridge or any other immovable or movable property;
