In this Act unless the context otherwise requires:

(xx) "EOU" - (Omitted w.e.f. 01-07-2017) (Export Oriented Unit) means any industrial unit, which undertakes to export their entire production of goods and is approved as such by the Development Commissioner of the concerned Export Processing Zone or any other competent authority duly authorized for the purpose by the Ministry of Industry, Government of India.
