In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 79 of Andhra Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act No.5 of 2005), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Schedules, to the said Act, as mentioned below ;

The amendments hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 01.09.2006.

Amendments

In the said Act:-

I. In Schedule-I, for the entry against Sl. No. 35, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"35. Salt including processed and branded salt."

II. In Schedule-IV,-

(1) for the serial No."18. Coffee beans and seeds, Cocoa pod, green tea leaf and chicory", the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"18. Coffee including Coffee seeds, roasted seeds and coffee powder, Cocoa powder, Chicory, blended or French coffee",

(2) Serial No.49 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted;

(3) after serial No.113, the following Nos. and the entries relating thereto shall be added, namely,-

"114. Tea

115. Cashewnut and kernel"
