Whereas, the State Government is satisfied that it is necessary so to do, with a view to prevent or check evasion of tax under the Chhattisgarh Value Added Tax act, 2005 (No. 2 of 2005).

Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 58 of the said act and in supersession of this department's Notification No. F-10/3/2001/CT/V(9) dated 01-05-2001, F-10/3/2001/CT/V(35) dated 19-07-2001 and F-10/2/2005/CT/V(3) dated 29-01-2005, the State Government hereby sets up check posts or barriers at the places specified in the schedule below from 1st April 2006 :-

4	Wandraf Nagar in Surguja District.	Between 94th and 95th K.M. From Ambikapur on Ambikapur- Varanasi Road.
5	Lodam (Shankh) in Jashpur District.	Between 27th and 28th K.M. From Jashpur on Jashpur-Ranchi Road.
