In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the West bengal Sales Tax Act, 1994 (West Ben. Act XLIX of 1994) (hereinafter reffered to as the said Act), the Governer is pleased hereby to make, after giving by notification fourteen days notice of his intention to do so, as required by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the said Act, the following additions to, amendments in, or alterations of, the following Schedules to the said Act:-

Amendments

In the said Act, -

(1) in Schedule I, after serial No. 98 in column (1) and the entry relating thereto in column (2), insert the following serial Nos. and entries relating thereto in column (1) and in column (2):-

"99. Advanced licence, and Duty Entitlement Pass Book (D.E.P.B.).

100. Export-import (EXIM) scrip, Replenishment licence and Special import licence." ;

(2) in Schedule IV, in Part A, -

(a) Omit serial No. 129A in column (1) and the entry relating thereto in column (2);

(b) Omit serial No. 165 in column (1) and the entry relating thereto in column (2).

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from the 1st day of January, 2004.
