In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby appoints;
the places (i) specified in column (3) of the table annexed hereto as Land Customs Station for the clearance of all goods or any class of goods imported or exported by land from or to the land frontiers specified in corresponding entry in column (2) of the said table;
routes (ii) specified in the corresponding entry in column (4) of the said table as the routes by which alone all goods or class of goods may pass by land or inland water into or out of India to the said land frontiers :
Provided that -
(i) Chheherte Railway Station and Orient Jute Mill Jetty are appointed as Land Customs Stations only for the purpose of export of foodgrains from India;
(ii) Omitted.
(iii) Omitted.
(iv) In respect of Shella Bazar Land Customs Station, the land route from Pyrkan through Pharangkaruh (near B.P. No. 1231-S) to Bastola in Bangladesh, is appointed only for the propose of export of all goods from India.
Provided further that Phulbari is appointed as Land Customs Station for the purpose of import or export by any national of,-
(a) Bhutan in any vehicle of Bhutan;
(b) Nepal in any vehicle of Nepal; or
(c) India,
by land from or to Bangladesh.
Provided also that Adoosa is appointed as Land Customs Station for the purpose of clearance of baggage.
Provided also that the clearance of following class of goods only shall be permitted at Balat, Kalaichar, Srinagar, Kamalasagar, Bholaganj, Nalikata and Ryngku Border Haats namely:-
(a) locally produced vegetables, fruits, food items, spices;
(b) minor local forest produce including bamboo, bamboo grass and broom stick but excluding timber;
(c ) produce of local cottage industry including gamcha, lungi and the like;
(d) small locally produced agricultural household implements including dao, plough, axe, spade, chisel and the like; and,
(e) locally produced garments, melamine products, processed food items, fruit juice and the like.
Provided also that the route notified at entry (e) against serial number (2) relating to the land frontier of Bangladesh, against entry number (27), in column (4), after the entry (d), shall be only for the purpose of exports of all goods from India only.
Provided also that Teetwal is appointed as land customs station for the purpose of clearance of baggage.
Provided also that the Raiganj Railway Station is appointed as land customs station only for the purpose of export of goods from India.
Provided also that Dera Baba Nanak is appointed as land customs station for the purpose of clearance of baggage.
Provided also that New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is appointed as Land Customs Station for the purpose of clearance of baggage.
