In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 11 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002 (Mah. IX of 2005) read with rule 6 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Rules, 2005, and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra after consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Bombay hereby, appoints Shri Pramod Shravan Tarare, Judicial Member, Maharashtra Sales Tax Tribunal, Mumbai as the President of the Maharashtra Sales Tax Tribunal for the period of two years from the date on which he assumes the charge of the said post or till he attain the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
