In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 read with section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby notifies quota of 4 Lakh MT for import of Urad [Beans of the SPP Vigna Mungo (L.) Hepper] under HS Codes 0713 31 10, 0713 90 10 and 0713 90 90 of Chapter 7 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule - I (Import Policy), for the period up to 31st March, 2022, for the year 2021-22, the import policy of which is 'Restricted'. Import of Urad under the import restriction will be allowed only to the Millers/Refiners and will be distributed equally or for the quantity applied, whichever is lower, as per procedure to be notified separately by Directorate General of Foreign Trade.

2. Effect of the Notification: Annual Quota of 4 Lakh MT of Urad, to be imported for fiscal year 2021-22, is notified.
