Subject: Amendment in import policy and policy condition of pepper classified under Chapter 09 of ITC (HS), 2017-Schedule-1 (Import Policy).

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the import policy and policy condition of 'Pepper' classified under Chapter 09 of ITC (HS), 2017 -Schedule - 1 (Import Policy) as under:

0904 11 10	Pepper, long	Prohibited	However, import is free if CIF is above Rs.500/ per kg.	Free	-

Effect of this Notification: Import Policy of Long Pepper revised from "Prohibited" to "Free" and Minimum Import Price (MIP) is not applicable on Long Pepper.
