In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 54 of the Assam Value Added Tax Ack 2003 {Assam Act No. VIII of 2005), the Governor of Assam, is hereby pleased to grant, in public interest, birther reduction in overall incidence of Value Added Tax (VAT) on "Diesel" and "Petrol and other motor spirits" sold within the State of Assam by Rs. 7.00 (seven rupees) only per litre from the prices prevailing on 3rd November, 2021.

This reduction is in addition to the earlier partial exemption granted to the Oil Companies Government Notification No. FTX.29/2003/367 dated 12th February. 2021.

This notification shall come into force with effect from the 4th November, 2021.
