In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 94 of the Jharkhand Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Jharkhand Act 05, 2006) the Governor of Jharkhand is pleased to make the following amendments in the Departmental Notification No S.O. 219 Dated 31.03.2006:-

AMENDMENT

1. Short title, extent and commencement -

(1) These Rules may be called as the Jharkhand Value Added Tax (Amendment) Rules, 2020.

(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Jharkhand.

(3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment in Rule 33 -

In the existing Rule 33 (1), a proviso shall be added in the following manner:-

'' Provided that for the Financial Year 2018-19, the Prescribed Authority can select by the 31st August, 2020, such number of dealers as may be deemed fit, for audit.''

3. This Notification shall be effective from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
