Sub: Extension of time for completion of assessment / re-assessment / rectification and withdrawal of appeal and other proceedings to avail the benefits under Comprehensive Karasamadhana Scheme, 2019 - reg.

PREAMBLE:

The Hon'ble e Chief Minister and Finance Minister in his Budget Speech for the year 2019-20 made on 8th February 2019 had announced that a Comprehensive Karasamadhana Scheme will be introduced with a view to reduce the arrears arising out of the enactments administered by the Commercial Taxes Department which existed before the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act. Accordingly, a Scheme for waiver of penalty and interest was formulated and issued vide orders read above.

2. Trade and Industries have represented to the Government for extension of time upto 31st July 2019 for completion of assessment / re-assessment / rectification and withdrawal of appeal and other proceedings to avail the benefits under Comprehensive Karasamadhana Scheme, 2019 vide orders read above.

3. The Government has examined the request of the Trade and Industry and is pleased to pass the following order.

In the Government Orders read above,

a. for the words and figures "30th June 2019", the words and figures "31st July 2019" shall be substituted;

b. for the figures and punctuations "30.06.2019", the figures and punctuations "31.07.2019" shall be substituted;

c. for the figures and punctuations "30-06-2019", the figures and punctuations "31-072019" shall be substituted.
