In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (3) of section 5 read with clause (91) of section 2 of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Mah. XLIII of 2017) (hereinafter referred to as the " said Act "), and in supersession of the Order No. D.C.(A&R)-2/GST/PWR/Sections/2017-18/ADM-8, dated 3rd April 2018, published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette, Extra-ordinary, Part-II, No. 26, dated the 4th April 2018, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Commissioner of State Tax, Maharashtra State, hereby with effect from the 1st April 2018, pleased to designate the officers, for the time being holding the respective posts, mentioned in column (b) of the Schedule appended hereto with the MAHAVIKAS code stated in column (c) of the said Schedule, as the " Empowered Officer ", for the purposes of section 68 of the said Act read with rule 138B of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, namely :-
