Madhya Pradesh Profession Tax Act, 1995 - NOTIFICATIONS

Whereas, the State Government is of the opinion that it is expedient so to do in the public interest;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Madhya Pradesh Vritti Kar Adhiniyam, 1995 (No. 16 of 1995), the State Government hereby exempts with effect from 1st April, 2000 to 31st March, 2005 the class of persons specified in column (1) of the Schedule below subject to the restrictions and conditions specified in column (2) of the said Schedule from the operation of all the provisions of the said Adhiniyam :

Physically handicapped person, that it to say a person suffering from physically defect or deformity which in either case, cause interference with the normal functioning of the bones, muscles or joints. Such person produces or causes to be produced a certificate issued by the Director of Social Welfare Madhya Pradesh or by any other officer authorised in this behalf by the Director for the aforesaid purpose that the person claiming exemption is orthopaedically or otherwise medically/physically handicapped in relation to the period for which exemption is claimed :

Provided that the Director or authorised officer shall issue such certificate on the basis of the certificate issued by the district Medical Board for the said purpose.
