In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the West Bengal Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 2016 (West Ben. Act XI of 2016) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Governor is pleased hereby to appoint the 1st day of January, 2017, as the date on which section 2, section 3 and section 4, of the said Act shall come into force.
