In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Assam Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Assam Act No. IX of 2016), the Governor of Assam is hereby pleased to appoint the 1st day of September, 2016 as the date on which the Assam Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Assam Act No. IX of 2016) shall come into force.

This notification shall come into force at once,
