THE RAJASTHAN VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2003 Notifications

NOTIFICATION NO. F.12(63) FD/Tax/2005-5., Dated 11th April, 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Rajasthan Value Added Tax Act, 2003 (Rajasthan Act No. 4 of 2003), the State Government being of the opinion that it is expedient in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in SCHEDULE IV appended to the said Act, namely :-

AMENDMENTS

1. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 5, the existing entry, shall be substituted by the entry "All metal castings and manhole covers made of cast iron casting."

2. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 28, after the existing expression "mono-bloc" and before the expression "and submersible pump", the expression "diesel engine up to 10 H.P." Shall be inserted.

3. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 44, the existing entry, "Edible Oils and oil cake" shall be substituted by the entry "Edible oils and all types of oilcake but excluding cotton seed oilcake."

4. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 46, for the existing expression "zari, kasab, salma, dabka, chumki, gota", the expression ",kasab, salma, dabka, chumki," shall be substituted.

5. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 59, the word "agarbatti and" shall be deleted.

6. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 64, for the existing expression "Bran of cereals.", the expression "Bran of cereals except wheat." Shall be substituted.

7. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 92, for the existing expression "(8) wire mesh and metal mesh", the expression "(8) wire mesh, metal mesh, wire netting and barbed wire." Shall be substituted.

8. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 99, after the existing expression "PVC pipes.", the expression "PVC pipes and their fittings." Shall be substituted.

9. In Column No. 2 of entry S. No. 107, after the existing expression "(whether in sealed containers or otherwise)", the expression ",sharbat and thandai." Shall be substituted.

10. In Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 131, after the existing expression "Sweetmeat (Deshi)" the expression "and unbranded namkins." Shall be added.

11. After the existing S. No. 146 and before S. No. 147, the following S. No. 146A and entries thereto in Column 2 and 3 shall be inserted, namely :-

"146A.

Waste paper (raddi), empty bottles, broken glasses and plastic waste.

12. After the existing S. No. 152 the following S. No. 153 and entries thereto in Column 2 and 3 shall be inserted, namely :-

"153.

Kirana items namely kala namak, sendha namak, coconut powder, edible gond, isabgoal husk, rai, postdana, magaj of all kinds, saffron, silver vark, kaluanji, saji and dry fruits.

1. In Part-B of SCHEDULE IV, in Column No. 2 of entry at S. No. 183, for the existing word "Liquefied", the expression "Liquefied or Gaseous" shall be substituted.

2. In Part-B of SCHEDULE IV, after the existing entry at S. No. 219, the following new entries shall be added, namely :-

"220.	Rough sand stone blocks of dimensions not less than 1.5' x 1.5' x 1'.	4
221.	Abrasive stone (Batti)	4
222.	Copper wire including super enameled copper wire, submersible copper winding wire and double cotton covered copper wire.	4"
